This document is an official declaration of annexation of the Republic of Lucca by the Kingdom of Switzerland. As a result of the treaty, the territory of the Republic of Lucca including its overseas territories have been formally ceded to the Kingdom of Switzerland.
The main participants in the treaty were Alexander I, the King of Switzerland; and Guglielmo de' Medici, the then-Doge of Lucca.
