Willhelm Kohleschmied (2 July 1718 - 7 June 1760) is the current Minister of Defense in the Cabinet of Lord Benjamin Wolfe. He previously served a brief stint eight years prior in 1751 as both Director and Minister of Defense, after a distinguished career as a Major General in the Swiss Royal Army.
Following the election of Benjamin Wolfe in the 1751 General Election, and the defeat of Sir Alexander Kohleschmied and his subsequent resignation from all governmental posts; Will, one of his cousin's staunchest supporters, elected to retire from government as well, returning with Alexander Kohleschmied to Venice, and act as commander of the city garrison for the next eight years. By the end of the decade, Kohleschmied had tired of retirement, and returned to Berne, where the King reappointed him to the Privy Council. After a few months, the sitting Minister of Defense Sir Mighty Wolfe would be placed in command of a expeditionary force in Afrika, and Kohleschmied was nominated to succeed him as Defense minister once more.
